Well, it's finally Friday again and we are gearing up for a big weekend of parties, weddings, you name it, we have it going on in the store this weekend. May is such a fun time here at our 2 flower shops but honestly quite exhausting too. What better way to recharge our batteries in time for the weekend than having Sunflowers for this weeks $5 Flower special.  Last weeks $5 Friday Flowers were violet plants and between our two stores we sold over 40 of them. This weeks sunflowers will most likely fly off the shelves (or out of the buckets) because Sunflowers are always so popular. Who wouldn't want a bouquet of these in time for the weekend? 

Did you know that Greenway Land Trust in Princeton, not only helps preserve land in central New Jersey but they also have a Native Plant Nursery at their location  just off of Rosedale Road. This weekend is their big plant sale on Friday from 3 - 6 pm and Saturday from 9 am - 12 noon. Look for our staffing doing demonstrations at 5 pm on Friday and 10:30 on Saturday. We'll be showing folks how to make Native Plant gardens for both the forest and the meadow. It's always so lovely working at Morven in Downtown Princeton and today's Gala for the Tri-Centennial of  the Descendants of the American Revolution came out amazing. Thought I'd share a few photos! 

Ever wonder what it's like to work in a flower shop during Mother's Day Week? You might be surprised to know that this holiday is larger than any other floral holiday, including Valentine's Day.
