Mother's Day and Covid19 Update Mother's Day and Covid19 Update ~ Can you believe how long we've all been locked down with this horrible pandemic? We've been blessed to be able to continue to spread cheer through daily delivery of flowers, plants, balloons, food baskets and other gift items. Our customers have been so grateful and the recipients have been over joyed when they open their door to find a special gift left just for them. At first it was hard securing fresh product but each week it gets a bit easier. It's been amazing how many birthday celebrations we've been a part of. We've always created lots of balloon bouquets but never so many for children as the last 3 weeks. It's been so rewarding to be able to create these sweet bouquets for little boys and girls.  This week was Administrative Professionals week and were kept very busy on Wednesday with over 50 deliveries going to hard working staff that have been doing their jobs from home...

Food Baskets on the Way!

Image
With many folks working from home during this epidemic (go away bad virus) it's been so nice to see companies thanking their staff. We always love making gift baskets and we really had fun making these for one of our corporate accounts. These snack baskets were delivered all over our local area and included fun and healthy snack food like nuts, chips, cookies and chocolate. We event tucked in an inspiration stone, chapstick and a candle. We especially loved the card message that read "And you don't even need to share with your co-workers". Is there someone out there working hard at home for your company? Why not show your appreciation with a delivery of fresh flowers, food or even a plant? We're here to help with No Contact Delivery 7 days a week!!

.... and just like that Christmas is over and 2018 is just around the corner. With the end of December comes doing inventory and a product flip of the shop.  In addition to our usual floral items, gifts, greeting cards, plush etc we have gone full into inspirational and metaphysical products. Blessing Bowls, Angels, Crystal, Pendulums and Inspirational Word Stones have been big sellers and we will be expanding this line in 2018. It's up and running for just about a month and so far the feed back has been very positive. Hope on and let us know what you think at www.sendingsmiles.com   Just time for a New Year we will be adding more products to the mix so be sure to check back in a few weeks. Happy New Year everyone!!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Image
Posting a bit late but HAPPY HOLIDAYS! The shop has been very busy since the beginning of December and we are so grateful for all our customers who allow us to make a living doing what we love to do. As always we've been helping folks express their feelings and with this Winter season still comes birthday's, get well's and unfortunately sympathy's along with the festive occasions of Hanukkah, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. It's always fun to see the holiday trends and this year traditional centerpieces were the best sellers such as this design created by our lead designer. We also had many folks choosing festive basket designs such as this Berries and Spices which included cinnamon sticks.  We even had some fun with Succulent plants by using fun Merry Christmas boxes as pots.  Although not as popular as previous years, we still made a fair amount of Boxwood trees. This one will be brightening someone's day when it's delivered on Christmas...

What's New in the Shop - January 2017

Image
Can you believe the Christmas/Hanukkah season is over? I know I can't but I'm personally excited for the start of 2017! Every year at this time we revamp the shop, clean out the old and in with the new. January is always a great time to freshen up the home or office with plants which is why we bring in plants of all types and sizes.  Right now Succulent Plants are very popular and they make such nice gifts for pretty much an occasion. We have them potted and ready to go.  We also have loose plugs that can be combined into gardens in just about any kind of container.  Wouldn't these be cute for the office.  Succulents planted in ceramic and/or glass.   We also restocked our selection of tillandsia....  Small Bonsai Plants It's also a great time of year for a big, bold bunch of fresh flowers!   We're also restocked our selection of adorable little angels including this one that says "Have Faith" We've always c...

Our Store Remodel

Image
If you have been in our shop over the last few days you may notice a few changes. It was time and we we're all so excited for the New Year to arrive! The first part of the remodel was to remove our dated, over sized walk in/display cooler. Folks seem surprised that we wanted to remove this unit but we had some very good reasons. It was 18 years, it had a slow leak that required either $11,000 worth of repairs or $1,000 worth of freon every 3 to 4 months. The most compelling reason for removing this cooler was because although it looked brand new from the outside, it was actually now too big for our needs. Most of customers are unaware that when we expanded 9 years ago, we added another large walk in cooler measuring 12 feet by 15 feet which is more than an enough refrigeration space for our needs. A new large 2 door cooler will be replacing the one we took out but see below for how open and airy the shop looks now! We're really having fun displaying more plants, gardens and...

Our December Instagram Feed

Image
Another month of fun Instagram photos. Thought I'd share the behind the scenes from December!  Here a photographer posts a photo of a bridal bouquet we created in November and we share it on our feed!  Our Princeton store decorated for the holiday season!  Kevin and Alanna build a balloon archway for a non-profit awards breakfast in Woodbridge. This is a new frame for us and it really turned out great. It's 12 feet tall!!  A winter wedding of teals and white, snowflakes and birch branches at Old York Country Club in Bordentown, NJ.  A 3 foot tall boxwood tree decorated with real peacock feathers  for the Princeton Residence Inn. Even the ribbon had the peacock feather design!  We held 3 design classes during the month of December including this wreath making class. The students really did a great job.  Design Alanna went out to a club meeting for a demonstration and then then attendees bought what she made.  ...
