Rainbow Themed Wedding

Image
What fun floral bouquets we created for today's bride Melissa. A rainbow themed wedding was quite unusual and considering that we had to become "handy" with the flower tint, I think we did a great job. Wondering what flowers are naturally this color and what are tinted? The green bouquet had green roses that are natural but being there really isn't a green mini callas, those are tinted. The yellow bouquet is all natural, no helping Mother Nature there. The lavender roses are natural but then we did tint the mini callas, mostly because we wanted to control the color. The blue roses are stem dyed at the farm and the mini callas are also tinted. Each brides maid wore black dresses and so the color came from their bouquets .  What do you think about this rainbow themed wedding ? It's not for everyone but our bride Melissa loved it!

More Purple.....

I don't know what it is about the color purple but it's been showing up everywhere I Turn. This week past bride Suzan sent these photos our way and I'm so glad she did. I love the brides maids gowns, don't you? The flowers were just a sweet addition.  What fun seeing how the couple arrived in style!  Suzan's bouquet was gorgeous with ivory roses, brown cymbidium orchids, purple mini callas and purple roses. Her gown was so elegant and had lots of detail. What a lovely color palate for a late fall wedding, don't you think? Most Popular Bouquet

Laura's bouquet , originally uploaded by Georgianne at Monday Morning Flowers . People often ask me if there is any one particular bridal bouquet that seems to be a favorite among our brides and the answer is yes - and this is it. A very simple but classic hand tied bouquet of ivory roses, white mini callas, accented with berries and a collar of fresh greens. Each year we do about 100 weddings and we make this exact bouquet no less than 5 or 6 times. Sometimes the ivory roses get replaced with white or even pale pink or peach but the general look and feel remains the same. So there you have, the closest thing we have to a signature bridal bouquet!! To see more of our wedding designs, visit our wedding website at www.perfectweddingflowers.com

Elegant Calla Lilies

What is it about these spectacular flowers that is so endearing? Well, first and foremost it has to be their elegance. Beautiful, large heads on long, delicate pale green stems, few flowers have such power to stand alone. These particular flowers were combined into a graceful bridal bouquet for a bride last weekend. All it took were these three open cut blooms.  Hand tied into an arm bouquet, tied simply with a satin ribbon, they must have looked amazing as she held them. Perhaps she'll send pictures? I hope so!! To see more of our floral designs check out our website at www.sendingsmiles.com

Simple White...

When you were a little girl and dreamed of your wedding day, there's a good chance that you dreamed of wearing a long white gown while you carried a gorgeous bridal bouquet of white flowers Classic and elegant, creams and white flowers complement your gown without competing. Worried that a white bouquet is boring? Never! Create texture and drama by using flowers in various shades of white and cream. Flowers of different shapes and sizes also add dimensions. The bouquet to the left is lightly accented with pearl studded stephanotis and lisianthus buds give this bouquet softness. What about the simple bouquet to the right? The bouquet was the perfect complement to bride Jennifer's gorgeous gown. Tiny rhinestones along her bodice were the perfect inspiration for her pretty bracelet and rhinestone studded stephanotis. Cream colored roses created depth and a light collar of white ostrich feathers soften and the bouquet and looked fantastic against her soft tulle skirt. The
