MMF Staff Favorites: Alanna Alanna is our Customer Care coordinator and has been with the company for 5 years this Spring.  When I came out to our showroom Alanna was already holding this cool terrarium made by our newest colleague Jeneen . "Terrariums are fun because they are a little ecosystem you can have right on your desk, and the cover makes it even easier to care for because it holds the condensation." Did you know we have European style hand-tied bouquets available at both our locations ready for you to choose and take with you in a hurry? Alanna liked this one highlighting Protea from South Africa and Freesia. Spring is almost here and we have been getting in some amazing flowers. Alanna (and the rest of us) loved this lavender Sweetpea! We get in new flowers from local sources and all over the world on a daily basis, stop in to see what goodies are available today. :) Thanks Alanna!

Well, actually, it's both! We began creating terrarium floral centerpieces for tomorrows wedding and although most have been created with flowers, they also include some plant material like this one. Three purple roses, mosses and ivy plants combine to make an elegant floral display, don't you think?  What I really love is how each table will going to be a completely different "container" and so no 2 will look the same. Our color palate is purples and blues and so we are using blue roses and orchids with accents of river stones, fresh mosses, glass gems and even terrarium sand. The bride and grooms also provided us with some fun little characters such as faeries and tiny terrarium animals such as frogs, turtles and even birds. I can't wait to see these all set up at the Lambertville Inn tomorrow night and I'll be sure to post photos!

It's funny how product we sell goes in cycles and right now folks are all wanting plants. As you may know, we make our own dish gardens, terrariums and planters and last week plants arrived from our Greenhouse Suppliers 3 times. Each time, they practically flew off the shelves with bromeliads, violets and mini calla lily plants being the best sellers.  Imagine Designer Norman's face when this new Terrarium House arrived on Friday. He went right to work creating a little garden inside. This one is quite large and sells for 159.95 so if you are looking for a unique and special gift idea, this might be the perfect thing for you. Here at the shop we are enjoying the succulent craze! In addition to using them in our every day floral arrangements and wedding designs, we sell plants here in the store. Folks love them because they are super cute and easy to care for. What better time than January and February to bring a bit of living art into your home or office right?   Last week our shipment of new terrarium glassware arrived and we were quick to make a few gardens with them. For this one I kept the succulent plant in it's own but and then added some loose stones. The lid helps create it's own little environment making watering a very rare thing! I also added a touch of burlap ribbon and raffia for a rustic feel. Tomorrow we have a new shipment of plants arriving. Why not pick out your own plants and container and let us put it together for you. With the winter cold outside, it's the perfect time to bring a little nature inside! 

 Yum, we have started getting in some new gourmet product, just in time to test it out for the holiday gourmet basket season! Believe it or not, our Corporate customers will begin ordering their holiday gift baskets before you know it.  We've been enjoying getting in a new variety of Dutch hydrangea each week and this week's is called "You and Me Together - Pink". We love the shape of the little flowers, so pretty, don't you agree?  Next week we will be having our first Terrarium class and we love making these cuties, like this one that Designer Norman made for a customer. A little wave action to look like the sea is what she requested and Norman did a fine job with it!  We've been carrying jewelry and we just got in a new line of bracelets. They are so pretty. Some have saying such as faith, kindness and love. Colorful and affordable at only $14.95.  I love the head bands, they are so cute! Perfect for when you need a touch of bling!  How cute
