Sending Smiles ~

Once again we sent out our delightful team of Alanna and Alex to work with 4 and 5 year old children at Harmony School here in the Princeton Forrestal Village. A fun, hands on project of planting a tiny ivy plant with a red white and blue theme, just in time for the 4th of July holiday.  Above Alanna works with the little ones who were broken down into 2 classes of 15. The children were slightly afraid of the Spanish Moss!!   So well behaved!   Next they were able to add a red white and blue ribbon treatment to their vases. Perfect to show their patriotism!  Finished projects from the first class wait to be taken home.  Alanna working with the mini students again. Another successful class and with these gorgeous flowers, how could it not be.  The students began arriving and within a few minutes they were all friends, even if they had never met each other before. This class the students will be creating their very own Thanksgiving Floral Centerpiece.  The designing instruction begins with Alanna leading the class.   Martha tries to be serious while daughter Kathy goofs off behind. We did mention that we serve wine at these classes right?   The centerpieces are taking shape and all the students are working really hard.   This is Kathy's second class and she obviously had fun!  The ladies pose with their creations. We had so much fun Wednesday night hosting our 2nd hands on design class. This time we taught  everything you needed to know to make your own Fall Wreath! First timer Jessica had a wonderful time and we were impress with not only her talent but all the ladies who did a great job!!  Each participant was given a grapevine wreath as their base, some ribbon, dried oak leaves, pine cones and dried wheat. From there the ladies were able to choose from a large array of other elements such a faux fruit, berries, vines and other dried materials.   Once their elements were chosen, Sheryl and Alanna had the honors of applying the hot glue. Between making their wreaths, talking and snacking on wine and cheese, a very pleasant night was had by all!   Let's face it, everything is better with Wine and Cheese!
