Rustic Elegance ~ a Wedding Floral Story

Image
This past weekend we created an elegant and natural bouque t for our bride Carla and I was so pleased with how it turned out. Peach Juliette Garden roses partnered with peach and orange colored ranunculus, jasmine vine, hoya foliage and touches of ruscus combined to make an elegant yet natural looking bridal bouquet.  The centerpieces were all created in rustic wooden boxes, with some being square and some be rectangular. They were styled using loose and airy elements like lace flowers, fever few, vines, ranunculus, garden roses seeded eucalyptus, stock and hypericum berries.   To see more of the stunning wedding be sure to visit our wedding website at www.perfectweddingflowers.com

A Weekend of Summer Weddings

Image
Today's weddings were so pretty we had to share. I know you may get confused because both weddings had similar flowers and colors but each was customized to the couples design ideas. Below is the wedding cake for our Bride Jessica. To say that she was "hands on" and so was her mother is an understatement. This cake was not only decorated by our Designer Alanna but Jessica's mother took control and toss a few blooms on their too!  Jessica's centerpieces were oval shaped designs that were left loose and airy in gold mercury footed bowls. Very elegant and stately, even with the fun loving balloons in the background leading guests to the tented area.   This bouquet was created for our bride Leslie - ranunculus, garden, tea and spray roses with dahlias in shades of creams, peaches and pinks. So pretty, don't you think?   My favorite piece from the weekend, the fireplace mantle for Leslie's wedding. So elegant, country, vintage... You get the vibe!

Peonies and Garden Rose - A guest blog by our Designer Nicole

Peonies  and Garden Roses     By Nicole Foy Peonies are one of the most requested flowers for bridal bouquets but few people realize just how limited of a time frame they are available.  If you live in the Northeast, you have already seen them come and go in a matter of a week or two.  In terms of wholesale availability, they are available from about mid May to mid June.  They have been known to be available year round but the prices tend to differ dramatically from Spring to the other three seasons a year.  And with Peonies already being an expensive flower even when the are in season, many have asked if an appropriate visual, as well as more economic, substitution is available...   I have always suggested the garden rose, which differs from a traditional rose.  Garden roses are much more delicate and have fluffier petals much like the look of the peony.  They are also equally as fragrant which is one of the many appeals of both the peony and the garden rose.  Many love th

Our Ad in Accent Magazine

We rarely do any print advertising and truth be told, we get most of our weddings via word of mouth and referrals from other Wedding Vendors and Venues. Every now and then it's fun to advertise in a local magazine such as Princeton Magazine or this one, Accent which is produced by Hamilton Jewelers. We super love this ad created for the latest issue and thank you to Al Ojeda Photography for the great photo of bouquets we created last year for a wedding last year at the Somerset Palace . Simple hand tied bouquets of Garden Roses look anything but simple when paired off with navy blue brides maids dresses.
