Decorate and Celebrate

Image
Can you believe that December 1st is this Friday? Well, the weather has turned a bit cooler but it still hard to believe that Christmas is less than 30 days away. Of course, as soon as Thanksgiving is over, our customers start requesting holiday and winter themed floral designs and we do not want to disappoint them! Lead Designer Alanna has added quite a few new designs to the offerings this year including the 2 designs below. This one is called Rudolph . Either of these adorable designs would make a perfect centerpiece for a party or for at home on a coffee table, right? The design below is called the Mosaic .  Which one is your favorite? In addition to new floral designs, we have brought in a wide selection of gourmet items for gift baskets, including some yummy chocolates . These are great grab bag or Secret Santa Gifts.  We have also brought in a few new gift lines such as Naked Bee which is a natural skincare line with nourishing ingredients and addictive s...

Special Events in Princeton, NJ

Image
It may be Christmas around her but if you are within 50 miles of Princeton University, you are bound to see some Black and Orange, like at this event we just created centerpieces for. We love working with the folks at the University ~ both Staff and Students and it's we are always looking for creative and affordable ways to do up the Tiger theme of Black and Orange.  These centerpieces were designed in plastic black footed bowls using roses, berries, lotus bods and cat tails with a few unusual painted craspedia and pin cushion proteas. Designed with a touch of boxwood, they look seasonal while still being well within the Princeton zone!   Nope it's not Halloween - it's an event at Princeton University!  To see this and more of our event decor for businesses, school and social ~ Be sure to check out event website at www.mondaymorningballoons.com

Making Boxwood Trees in Princeton for the Holidays

Image
Last week we held another fun class at our Princeton shop and Designer Norman, Shop Coordinator Sheryl and 7 amazing ladies had fun learning to make boxwood trees. As with all our classes, the night started with laughter, wine and yummy cheese from Tre Piani Restaurant, located next to us here in Princeton Forrestal Village. After a half hour and full bellies, the ladies move over into the design area to begin their lesson!  Below Norman works one on with Melissa (who works at the Windrows just up from our shop). As time goes on the trees begin to take shape!  Jean, Melissa and Jan all work on forming their trees. Next step is to decorate them!     Fast friends through our classes, Jean and Martha pose for a photo during the class.  Well ladies, you must all be very proud of your creations. After the class ended at 8 pm, the ladies moved back into the shop and enjoyed savings of 25% off everything in the shop! Each left with a goody bag...

Scenes From an Elegant Wedding

Image
Can you ever go wrong with an all white wedding ? One of this past weekends weddings had us using elegant flowers in shades of white with touches of crystals, candle light, diamonds and rhinestones. Jessica's bouquet was created using ivory roses, creamy white hydrangeas, white mini callas, ranunculus and touches of rhinestone sprays.  For Jessica's ceremony we provided our ivory satin covered chuppah accented with touches of fresh foliage's flanked by two elegant floral arrangements on garden pedestals.  In the ballroom, tall and lush floral displays were created up on 28" tall pedestal cylinder vases which are a rental item , then filled with clear gems, amber underwater lights, a single white cymbidium orchid bloom and fresh water. At the base were diamond like gems sprinkled over table mirrors and 3 crystal votive candles.  To formalize the chandeliers, we had 25 feet of crystals sprays to each fixture. I can only image what this looked like when the ...
