Autumnal Roses

Image
Roses sell 12 months out of the year but we admit that fall colored rose designs just might be our favorite. This arrangement made by our Lead Designer Alanna has yellow, coral, orange and two toned yellow with red tip roses accented with fall leaves, hypericum berries, fresh lemon leaves and huckleberry foliage.  Want to see more of our rose selection? September is All About Weddings

Image
Well, that is actually a bit misleading as September keeps us busy with all kinds of things from Weddings, to Funerals, School Decorating Events and the list goes on. I must admit, however, that creating wedding flowers for sweet and deserving couples is always a stand out at our shop. Take last weekend for example. We had three weddings and although we had to really hustle to get everything created, delivered and set up, it's such rewarding work. The photo above is for our beautiful bride Amanda K (yes we had 2 Amanda's in one day) and her handsome hubby Jon. Their wedding took place at the Boat House at Mercer County Park and although unseasonably warm, the day was spectacular and the lake view amazing. Are you planning a wedding for 2018? Now is the time to book your date with us!! To see more of our wedding designs be sure to visit our wedding website at www.perfectweddingflowers.com

Amazing Red Roses

Image
We sell more red roses than another other color. That probably doesn't come as surprise to you because when it comes to romance it's all about the red. This rose variety is called "Freedom" and has rich red petals that gently open outward as the flower blooms.  Red roses are still the traditional floral gift for wedding anniversaries with 12 being the most popular presentation followed by 2 dozen. A simple glass vases, elegant foliage and a touch of accent flowers such as baby's breath makes for a classic/timeless presentation.  What are your favorite color roses ?

Carnations and Roses - Perfect Together

Image
Roses and Carnations are 2 of my favorite flowers and I especially love them together. One of this weekends weddings has us using both types of flowers in brides maids bouquets.   The difference in texture and the slight shading difference will looks especially pretty in pictures when taken from a distance. In this case, the carnations also help with cost because our bride has quite a few attendants and needed to keep the cost down. Purple Haze Rose

Image
Today's wedding had us using a brand new variety rose (well, it's new to us) called Purple Haze. Judging by the number of kind comments on our Flickr page, it seems like this rose is going to be heavily used in our design work in the coming months. A lovely shade of lavender with a hint of magenta on the tips (or at least that's what I might call that color), there's no way this rose could ever be called boring. Purple and lavender still remains strong in our event design, especially weddings, so it's nice to have such a lovely new variety to offer to our customers.
