Wedding Flower Colors

Image
Can't decide what color flowers for your wedding? I've noticed that lavender and purple never seem to go out of style and work for any season. Last month's bride April had us use all shades of lavender and purple in her July wedding and the look was gorgeous!  Above is April's bridal bouquet of lavender Ocean Song Roses, white Snowflake Spray Roses, purple stock, white and purple mini calla lilies called Picasso, green hypericum berries and accents of seeded Eucalyptus.  Remember that all wedding flowers are created by our talented artists one design at a time, by hand. Would you consider purple and lavender for your wedding flowers?

An Elegant Engagement Party at Eno Terra in Kingston

Image
Lavenders, creams and greens ~ I'm in love with this color combination and how perfect are these colors to add a touch of brightness to Eno Terra? Among the long, wood tables we placed multiple floral centerpieces that were created in cylinder vases with purple roses and tulips and mojito hydrangeas with loops of lily grass. Circling the vase were real tropical leaves and the green really popped against the shiny light wood tables.  We especially loved the buffet arrangement with it's additional hanging amaranthus and green cymbidium orchid blooms. If the Engagement party is this pretty, imagine what the wedding will look like!

Rainbow Themed Wedding

Image
What fun floral bouquets we created for today's bride Melissa. A rainbow themed wedding was quite unusual and considering that we had to become "handy" with the flower tint, I think we did a great job. Wondering what flowers are naturally this color and what are tinted? The green bouquet had green roses that are natural but being there really isn't a green mini callas, those are tinted. The yellow bouquet is all natural, no helping Mother Nature there. The lavender roses are natural but then we did tint the mini callas, mostly because we wanted to control the color. The blue roses are stem dyed at the farm and the mini callas are also tinted. Each brides maid wore black dresses and so the color came from their bouquets .  What do you think about this rainbow themed wedding ? It's not for everyone but our bride Melissa loved it!

Purple Haze Rose

Image
Today's wedding had us using a brand new variety rose (well, it's new to us) called Purple Haze. Judging by the number of kind comments on our Flickr page, it seems like this rose is going to be heavily used in our design work in the coming months. A lovely shade of lavender with a hint of magenta on the tips (or at least that's what I might call that color), there's no way this rose could ever be called boring. Purple and lavender still remains strong in our event design, especially weddings, so it's nice to have such a lovely new variety to offer to our customers.
