Fall Sunflowers and Rose Wedding Bouquets

It's another busy weekend here at the shop and had to share one of this weekends wedding bouquets. The bouquet below is for the bride and is made using cream garden roses, beige colored Sahara roses, craspedia and chocolate cosmos. Not only is this bouquet pretty, it smells amazing!  I personally am in love with these bouquets of "ring of fire" sunflowers, hypericum berries and Black Bacara roses for the brides maids.  Wow, talk about drama!  These are going to look amazing in the photos, wouldn't you agree?   To see these and more of our Fall Wedding Designs be sure to visit our wedding website at www.perfectweddingflowers.com and if you are getting married in 2014, now is the time to book your wedding date with us before they are all gone!

And the Winner Is....

If you follow along with our blog and our Facebook Pages, you may know that we have started having fun contests that pit our Designers (and Non-Designer Employees) against each other in a contest to find the most popular floral designs. Well, this time the winner was Kristin who is our Sales and Marketing Assistant at the shop. Her brightly colored cube arrangement was chosen the favorite by our Social Media Followers and now will be added to our website for the Thanksgiving holidays. Along with giving Kristin the kudos here at the shop, Meg Smith of Yardley Pa was the winner of free flowers ~ just for voting!  Look for our next contest to start soon which will be to "Name the Arrangement" for your chance to win Free Flowers ~ just like Meg did!

Our Pumpkin Arranging Class was a blast!

Colorful Fall Wedding Flowers

It's mid October and it's finally beginning to feel like fall ~ just in time for this weekends weddings. Our bride Rebecca chose brightly colored oranges, yellows and rich reds for her wedding flower color palate and we could not have been happier with the the finished looks of these amazing bouquets. Below is the Bride's Maids bouquets of roses, spray roses, berries and solidago.  Rebecca's bouquet included soft ivoy Vendela rose that really lightened up the overall colors in her bouquet. Relying heavily on roses, this bouquet really speaks to the month of October in NJ!   Another pretty shot of Rebecca'as Bouquets. The two toned roses are called Circus and are one of our favorites all year round and especially lovely to use in our wedding designs.   Our designers finishes the bouquets and then moves on to creating the "wearable" flowers such as the boutonnieres and corsages.   To see these and more of our wedding designs be sure to visit our wedding we…

Fall Flower of the Week - Sunflowers!

Sunflowers – gorgeous, uplifting and perfect for fall (yes, that’s right, not only a summer favorite!)  The sunflower is a happy, bright and beautiful flower that is not only used for its aesthetic appeal - although they look very cute with a eyes and a smile in this arrangement, "Six Pack of Sunshine," made by Designer Norman.

Cheaper than olive oil, sunflower oil can be used to make butter, margarine, peanut butter, “sunflower bread”, biodiesel, and was used by American Indians for bread, ointments, dye and body paint.  With its big, bright appearance, the sunflower always adds a little bit of joy to any floral arrangement.

Grown all over the U.S. (Jersey too), sunflowers are unique and really stand alone in appearance.  Have the designers at Monday Morning Flowers add them to an arrangement of summer colors for a “bright and cheery” look, or oranges and reds for a fall, seasonal style.  Pick up a single sunflower to make a statement, or a bouquet of a dozen to really wow…

Fall Weddings - Affordable Flower Options

Well, it finally felt like fall around here this past weekend, starting with Wei Jen's bridal bouquet of mango mini callas, rust football mums, solidago, seeded eucalyptus, red carnations, hypericum berries and spray roses. The mums really help with the texture and keep the cost down while the mango mini callas and roses make for a more upscale vibe.  I especially loved the bouquets we made for Colleen's brides maids ~a simple hand tie of 3 medium sized sunflowers. Affordable and super cute! A great bouquet option if you have less than $25 to spend on each attendant.  Here's another affordable brides maids bouquet idea ~ 3 anthurium tied with grasses. Small but with a tropical, funky feel, these ran under $40 per maid.  Looking for something unusual? These bouquets of all pincushion protea really give variety and depth of color all in one very neat flower. Although not as low cost as those above, these bouquets are sure to stand out and get noticed in pictures.  There you…

Fall Flower of the Week

Fall flowers are my favorite.  They are so rich in color, the textures and styles of fall arrangements almost have a personality.  It is so amazing to me to see what flowers do for other people.  Just working at Monday Morning Flowers for almost a year, I have sent some of my family and friends arrangements throughout the year.  The responses I have gotten back are tears, smiles, hugs and happiness all around.  I had no idea what an impression flowers could make!  With Thanksgiving around the corner, I will be featuring a flower a week for you to get to know a little better until Thanksgiving week.  The hope is that you learn a little more about the gorgeous fall flowers we have in the shop. Like one of my featured flowers?  Give us a call, and have a beautiful bouquet of whatever you like sent to your family or friends – see what kind of impression you make – you won’t be disappointed.  Your thoughtfulness will shine and you will make someone feel extra special.

Today we got in gorg…
