Blue Poinsettia?

Image
It's time for me to come clean. Red is my least favorite color (see Red or White Poinsettia Blog from earlier this week) but I do love poinsettias, so I look forward to them every year. But look what I found to sell in the store this year? Blue Poinsettias! Yes, they are tinted blue but aren't they super cute?  As you may or may not know, my favorite color is blue (see some of our marketing material pictured below) so when my poinsettia supplier had these available. I could not resist. Weight in... do you like Blue Poinsettias? Would you want to receive one this holiday season?

Blue Wedding Orchids

Image
It's all about the color blue for last months wedding for George and Rachel. My personal favorite were the blue orchids used for the chuppah but hydrangeas and delphinium in shocking cobalt blue were also featured. Truly a blue and white theme, the wedding flowers were striking and dramatic against the neutral but elegant back drop of the newly renovated Nassau Inn Ballroom.  Rachel's bridal bouquet was stunningly created using ivory roses, white mini callas and deep blue delphinium. The centerpieces were designed in elegant footed compotes that were silver and included ivory roses, deep blue hydrangeas and touches of delphinium and assorted spring foliage. The chuppah was amazingly adorned with draping blue dyed orchids and accented with draping vines and ivy.  Thank you Kyo Morishima Photography for the amazing photos of the elegant blue wedding !

A Princeton Gala

It's always so lovely working at Morven in Downtown Princeton and today's Gala for the Tri-Centennial of  the Descendants of the American Revolution came out amazing. Thought I'd share a few photos!

Ocean Themed Bat Mitzvah

Image
We had such a wonderful time designing these Ocean themed centerpieces. Can you guess the flowers used in these floral designs?  What would a bat mitzvah be without the balloons and these fish, dolphin and whale balloons were just the thing to bring the theme into Tre Piani for the party.    To see these and more of our themed event design be sure to visit our event website at www.mondaymorningballoons.com

Thinking Out of the Box with Flower Color

Image
I have to admit, I like flowers of all kinds, even ones that have gotten a little help from mankind such as these blue dyed dendrobium orchids. When you visit European countries, you'll notice that they love colorful flowers and have no issue with giving mother nature a leg up on both color and glitter - Yes, I said glitter. I especially love dyed daises and even these rainbow roses below. If you are thinking they are inexpensive because they are dyed, think again, these flowers come at a premium cost, not the other way around. Although, not for everyone, these dyed flowers can be fun and kwirky and depending how they are used can really start a conversation. We've even used them for weddings like this one for our bride Megan and few years back. Whether or not you love blue dyed orchids or roses or rainbow daisies or roses, you have to admit, they sure are different and if you love unexpected color, these little dyed beauties might be worth a second look!
