Image
We do, we do and so does our Bride Heidi and her new hubby Michael who were married Saturday in Lambertville NJ !!  Starting with Heidi's bridal bouquet of soft ivory tea roses, dahlias and peony. The bride's maid's carried bouquets of soft creamy white hydrangea and pale pink Valerie roses.   The reception was held at the Lambertville Station Inn in and the guest tables had 3 different styles of centerpieces including this one of crystal candle holders and pink flowers.   Mirrored cube vases filled lushly with pink hydrangea and roses .   The head table boasted a centerpiece that was 12 feet long filled with pink hydrangeas, peony and roses.   The place card table was a soft dome of all pink hydrangeas with hanging crystals.

Pretty in Pink

Image
Pink and white wedding flowers never seem to go out of style and this yea r has been no exception. This past weekend had us arranging using white, blush, pink and soft green tones for a late summer wedding. So pretty. The bouquet below belonged to the bride and included waxflower, white stock, roses in both petal pink and ivory, soft beige spray roses, white freesia and the most adorable succulent plants. Loose and airy, this bouquet was perfect for a church wedding.  Moving on the the reception, we kept to the bride and groom's budget by giving a big feel with low cost by creating centerpieces with silver toned curly willow and petal pink hydrangeas. Add in some soft up lighting the Hamilton Manor was transformed to a another world.  Would you consider pink for your wedding?

Ranunculus Flowers

Image
Ranunculus, one of the most asked for flowers by our brides , these soft ruffled blooms made great a great addition to hand tied bouquets. This week has us using these amazing pink ones in our design work and they are so beautiful, wouldn't you agree?  The Meaning and Symbolism of Ranunculus Native to Asia and celebrated for their medicinal properties as well as their amazing bright beauty, the small camellia like ranunculus ranges from white to pink, red to yellow to orange. Also known as Buttercut and Coyotes eyes, legend has it that the mythological Coyote was tossing eyes up in the air and then catching them when an Eagle flew by and snatched them up. Unable to see, Coyote created eyes from a Buttercup.  Flowers make amazing gifts for Summer Birthday, Get Well or just to say "Thinking of You". Lisa's Gerbera Daisy Bouquet

Image
This weekends wedding for Lisa and Bill was especially fun to design. The bridal bouquet consisted of 3 different colored gerbera diaises - coral, light lavender and medium pink. Accents of baby's breath was added to break up the colors and along the outer leaves we added loops of ti leaves to add a cool edge.  The bridal party consisted of 6 brides maids wearing black gowns. 2 brides maids carried coral gerbers, 2 carried light lavender and 2 carried medium pink. The stems were wrapped in black satin ribbon to allow them to disappear into the dress and not take away from the gorgeous flowers!   I am especially fond of the coral colored gerbera ~ this variety is called Bismark and these flowers are grown in Canada. They are especially hardy, which is perfect for hand tied bouquets like these.  The babies breath is called Party Time and has big, fat florets and they looks especially nice paired with the gerberas. I think these are the perfect bouquets for ...

Happy Flowers in Washington DC

Image
Happy Spring! Ok, I'm early because Spring is still a few days away but look at this amazing cherry blossom tree from our recent trip down to Washington, DC. Kevin and I went to attend the Society of American Florist Spring Volunteer meetings and with one whole day to explore, look what I found. High up on a tree, just outside the Air and Space Museum stood this one branch on this one tree and it was actually blooming! Wow, what a treat and I have to say it caused quite a stir with my floral friends who all wanted to know where I found this gorgeous blooming masterpiece! Soon after witnessing that amazing sight, we ventured into the Botanic Gardens right next door. Talk about going from one extreme to the other - from Air Craft and Space Modules to these amazing gardens. Don't you just love the blue of the water fountain with pink of the orchids and azaleas? Can't you just close your eyes, take a deep breath and imagine the smell of this wonderful place? Smell-a-computer......

Wow - Say Pink!

Image
http://www.per/ Wow - Say Pink! , originally uploaded by Georgianne at Monday Morning Flowers . These wedding bouquets were created last weekend for our bride Amy's wedding. Wow! Talk about punching it up with color. Light pink alstroemeria, shocking pink roses, fuschia mini callas with loops of lily grass created fun, spring bouquets. Even though pink never truly went out of style, it's back with a vengence! The deep color was limited to the bridal party and by the time guests arrived to the Breakers Hotel at the Jersey Shore, they were treated to more serene shades of pink (see escort card table arrangement below) using dendrobium orchids accented with grasses and white hybrid lilies. The sun was shining and the ocean shone a dazzling blue. A perfect day for bride Amy!!
