Will This Wedding Trend Continue into 2015?

What is the trend you ask? Using lots and lots of Baby's Breath. Some folks love it, some folks hate but I don't think any wedding professional can say that using Baby's Breath wasn't a major floral trend in 2014, because it probably was the biggest trend all year. Personally, I love Baby's Breath and had a given that flowers with a natural and vintage feel were all the rage this past year, I was happy to provide my couples with the flowers of their dreams. That being said, some of floral designer friends became, shall we say, a bit bored by the use of so much of this flower . My feelings were probably a bit more neutral on the subject as I thought the simple look of this pretty flower is both affordable and timeless.  In the case of this wedding , the bridal party was quite large and that translates into heavy dollars to give each girl a bouquet. In the case of the Baby's Breath bouquets, they give a nice full look for a low investment.  Lookin...

This Weekends Wedding - Mid June 2012

The weekend of June 15th and 16th had us doing three full sized weddings and what fun we had working on 3. Ah, how can you go wrong with sunny yellow in June? A nautical themed wedding, accents of blue were added to the centerpieces, place card and altar decor but for the bouquets we simply added a navy and white striped ribbon for the nautical touch. All white , originally uploaded by Georgianne at Monday Morning Flowers . Well, if you see the blog below you'll see designer Samantha just beginning to create this bouquet and so I thought you'd enjoy seeing the finished product. I have to say, this is probably one of my favorites this year but hey, I say that a lot! What I like about this bouquet is that it's so simple but then it has interesting elements and quite a bit of bling added for bride Holly at her request. Simple white roses and mini callas accented with geranium foliage. Add the rhinestone accents and this bouquet really transforms from ordinary to something quite special.
