Birthday Party Time at Tre Piani

Image
Here at our Princeton Forrestal Village store, we are super lucky to be near so many great venues for parties. Take the location below ~ Tre Piani Restaurant is located right next door to our Princeton shop. What a great place to have a special event. Not only is the food prepared by Chef ~ Owner, Jim Weaver delicious but the 3rd floor party room is warm and cozy. These floral centerpieces, created for a 60th birthday party have bright, jewel tone colors and really make for a festive touch. Floral centerpieces don't have to be big to be noticed, don't you agree?  To see these and more of our special event floral designs, be sure to visit our event website at www.mondaymorningballoons.com ~ if you are having a social or corporate event, you'll find much to inspire you there!

Make a Donation, Get a Lapel Pin

Image
Well, it's been a heck of a week and for us here at Monday Morning Flowers, we've come through it better than most. Our Yardley shop is still without power today but in Princeton we are up and running and creating beautiful floral designs for this weekends 4 weddings. To say we are relieved is an understatement. Most of our employees have power back on at home except Drivers Allan and Jeff but we are hopeful that soon their houses will be warm and they can take hot showers.  In trying to do our part, we have decided to make lapel pins and ask for donations for the American Red Cross to benefit the Hurricane Sandy victims in our area. The last time we did a fundraiser like this was the weeks following 9/11 and we raised over $3,600 for the Red Cross. I'll never forget their faces when we walked into their offices on Alexander Road here in Princeton, NJ with all that cash.  For now we have lapel pin donation boxes at Bon Appetit and our store here in the Princeton F

Monday Morning Flowers - Princeton

Did you know our Princeton shop is located in the Princeton Forrestal Village? Yes we are and we are just up from the Westin Hotel and are located between Exquisite Brides (how convenient to be located next to that) and Tre Piani and Tre Bar (again, how convenient is that?)! We've actually been in the Village for just over 12 years and we really love it. We moved out of downtown Princeton when we lost our lease and needed more space. People often ask if anyone finds us in this mixture of corporate and retail and the answer is yes they do. We actually do a very brisk walk in and thanks to customer deciding to shop local and the recession lightening up it's grip a bit, our walk in is up this year very nicely. We make speedy delivery into down town Princeton, the whole Route 1 corridor, all of Mercer County, parts of Middlesex and Somerset, not to mention Lower Buck, each and every day. Offering delivery to over 70 zip codes keeps our 3 to 5 delivery trucks busy all day long,

The Village Water Fountain

Image
dingsmiles.com The Village Water Fountain , originally uploaded by Georgianne at Monday Morning Flowers . What is it about a water fountain that makes people happy? This fountain is just up the block from my Princeton shop and I personally have been enjoying it even before I moved my business into Forrestal Village. On a sunny day there are tons of children dipping their feet and laughing. Even my new niece Mary Ann was introduced to this particular fountain recently and was absolutely mesmerized by the water. Making it even more special is how her parents posed at this fountain for their wedding portrait 17 years ago! On this particular day, I snapped a quick photo. I was on my way to take some pictures of an event we had just decorated at the Westin Hotel. How cool is that and how lucky am I to have this wonderful mood lifter so close to me? :o)

The Holiday Event!

Image
Well, this years Holiday Event held here at the Princeton Forrestal Village this past Saturday was a huge success! I'm not sure of the exact numbers but it was in the thousands. Everything was free again - cider, hot chocolate, carolers, ballet dancers performing the Nutcracker, carriage rides, balloon animals, crafts for the kids, clowns, pictures with Santa and strolling characters. The night was fairly mild and all the stars were out. These funny guys were so much fun! The kids loved them! The horses were a huge hit again and the lines were long but people patiently waited their turn! We gave out over 600 free helium balloons! Sheryl had a constant line of children and I literally stood blowing up balloons for 2 and half hours!! Our shop was decked out for the holiday. We had a free wine tasting, a drawing for a huge gourmet basket and surprise discounts for our customers! Customers were snatching up plants, ornaments and wreaths. We even saw a few of our regular
