Welcome Spring with Bulb Plants for Your Home

Who's ready for Spring? Monday night our store hosted a hands on workshop showing how to create your very own bulb garden for the home. Lead Designer Alanna lead the class showing the students how to break apply stones for drainage, break the bulbs into multiple smaller plants and finally how to decorate the garden with moss and tiny little creatures such as butterflies and birds!  What topic would you like to see us cover in our next class?

MMF Plant Care Tips: Bulbs and Orchids We have noticed that one of the things people most often ask about is plant care. I'm going to write a series of blogs with some basic plant care instructions. These are all plants we carry in our shops and want you to feel comfortable bringing one of beauties home! Bulb Plants are an easy and economical way to add color to your home and garden year after year. Sun Exposure: moderate, indirect light Care: ·          Keep soil moist, water thoroughly when water is dry to the touch, draining excess water. Replanting Bulbs: ·          Once the plant has stopped blooming, stop watering and wait for foliage to die back. ·          Once the foliage is dried out and brown, remove from bulb by gently tugging. It's not too late to sign up for our next in-store event , coming up this Sunday, April 6th.  Enjoy a nice Sunday afternoon with us and learn to create your own bulb garden!  From 1-2:30PM create your own beautiful, natural looking bulb garden to take home and enjoy as the weather warms up.  This class was such a hit last year, we had to have 2 this year.  Last night we held our first bulb garden class of the year and it was a blast!  Don't miss out on a nice Sunday out while you meet new people and get crafty. Once again we had a great time at the store in our Create Your Own Bulb Garden Class. First timers and veteran students both came together for a fun night out .  First timers Christine and Patty were raring to go and looking forward to a little time together!   Alanna did a great job once again teaching the ladies all her tips and tricks.  Each student had everything they need to make their glass bulb garden.
