•Do I have to give red roses on Valentine's Day?

NO! People love receiving flowers such as tulips, daisies, gerbers and orchids, not to mention roses in other colors. Mixed spring bouquets are the next most popular choice to send on Valentine's Day from our shop.

•Does my flower gift have to be a huge bouquet of flowers and cost a lot?

Of course not! A single bloom you picked out by hand at your local florist will mean just as much as a whole dozen of roses. Your flower purchase should be relative to what you feel is comfortable for you to spend. There are many options to choose from. •Why do red flowers seem to cost more during the holiday?

Simple supply and demand. Not enough supply and high demand.Go with the crowd and send red flowers or stand out by being creative and most likely, you'll save some money.

•What are some other great gift ideas for the holiday?

We sells tons of flowers each Valentine's Day but we also sell lots of pretty blooming plants such as orchids and hydrangeas. Elegant and fun boxes of candy and chocolates too. Fresh baked cookies and goodie baskets are fun gifts to send. What about a cuddly teddy bear or big bouquet of balloons? That sure will get noticed! Add a single long stem rose and romantic greeting card to any of the above and you'll get the response you are looking for!

•Can I get my gift delivered?

Of course! There is always something special about having flowers hand delivered by a florist, but remember, this is the busiest delivery day of the year with shop volume going up 20 fold so order early and be realistic about when your gift might arrive.If you want to pick up your gift, we can have it ready for you at either shop so that you can buzz in and out quickly.Our website, let's you order online and choose either the delivery option or pick up.

•Can I have my gift delivered before the holiday?

Although many folks want their delivery done on "The Day", sending your gift a day or two earlier can be fun. Valentine's Day is on a Monday this year so if you have special plans for the weekend, why not send your gift on Friday with a special message "Looking forward to a great weekend together".Talk about building the excitement!!

•How do I order and should I send Mom something too?

Fall Sunflowers and Rose Wedding Bouquets

It's another busy weekend here at the shop and had to share one of this weekends wedding bouquets. The bouquet below is for the bride and is made using cream garden roses, beige colored Sahara roses, craspedia and chocolate cosmos. How to Make a Flower Puppy

It's amazing what you can do with 12 carnations and a little bit of creativity. Our Floral Designer Rocio loves making puppy arrangements so here she shares her tips with you! Here's what you will need ~ 12 full size carnations, floral glue, floral tape, a floral container, 1/3 of a block of floral foam and some assorted greenery.  First take your wet floral foam and tape it securely into your floral container.  Slowly start adding the 12 carnations starting with the top to form the head, the ears, the face and the 2 front legs. Keep going, adding carnations but only using 12 total! 
Now he has his 2 front legs, sitting over the edge of the container.  Using the floral glue, add the eyes and the nose. Be creative here. We use eyes and noses for the floral industry but you can use felt, screws or even a pip cleaner to form these facial features.   Next, start filling in with assorted greenery and mosses.
