Scenes from the Shop Mid December!

Image
It's that time of year. Can you believe it's less than 2 weeks to Christmas ? It's warm outside today as I write this but it's very festive and wintry at the shop. Here's a peek into our world this month! This morning I added a table of gift ideas and stocking stuffers under $10. Candy, nuts and cookies along with ornaments, mugs, figurines and more.   This week's $5 Friday were winter bouquets of carnations, thistle berries and baby's breath.   We still have lots of Christmas signs, boxwood trees and wreaths.   Today we made a star arch for an awards breakfast.  We just got in some new jewelry like this stone necklace for only $9.99  Gold mercury glass is all the rage and we have them in different shapes and sizes.   It's the time of year when Bling is In!   Lots and lots of poinsettia's waiting to be delivered in the drivers ramp.   On December 7th we hosted a holiday centerpiece design class and the ladies ha

A November Wedding

Image
One of our most favorite Wedding venues is the Inn at Lambertville Station. We not only love the setting but working with Melle and her team is amazing. Early November had us creating gorgeous floral designs for Allison and her new husband Chris. The chuppah was provided by Adams Rental and we added light touches of orange mokara orchids for a simple but elegant look.  Moving into the Ballroom, we created 2 different styles of centerpieces ~ one high and one low, like these cylinder vases filled with orchids and grass with a simple burgundy ribbon wrap.   The tall floral displays were created in our 28" tall candle holders with fresh curly willow and 20 stems of long orange mokara orchids. Even the branches had orchid accents and of course a double burgundy ribbon wrap.   Chris and Allison toast to their marriage . I love how her bouquet looks on the table.   The photographer for the wedding was Isabel March and she did a fantastic job capturing not only the

Small Business Saturday 2015

Image
Happy Saturday! I sincerely hope everyone out there had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I did! For us today really kicks off the season of holiday buying and it's starts with Small Business Saturday . Today has us offering 25% everything in the store and we offered a discount to our online shoppers as well.  Admittedly our holiday season tends to get stronger the closer the holiday comes with our strength being our ability to help our customers send holiday love at the last minute.   It's still fun for us to start decking the halls (although we don't formally decorate our shops until the first week of December) and we have lots of holiday themed house and giftwares available. The winter and Christmas themed holiday wreaths, centerpieces and poinsettia orders will start hot and heavy by Mid Decembe r too.   We've had a few browser in our Princeton and Yardley shops today and truthfully with most folks still shopping at the malls, we often pick up those

Have you met Tara? She works in our Yardley shop on Saturdays (she's student) and has been a great addition to our team. Today she helped out in the shop to assist our Thanksgiving Customers!  Driver Donna is part time and such a wonderful team member. See that smile? She's always eager to help and always with a smile! Yesterday and Today she helped deliver smiles in Mercer, Middlesex and Lower Bucks Country. Meet Jeff. Wonder what he does here at the shop? Well he is certainly very multifaceted ~ have you seen any of our online or printed graphics? If so, they were designed by Jeff. Have you ever gone into our Yardley shop on a Thursday or Friday? Yup, you've seen Jeff running the store, processing flowers and creating bouquets for customers. Or perhaps you have opened your door to his smiling face as he makes a deliver to you. Play Ball ~ A Baseball Themed Bar Mitzvah

Image
I admit that I can take little credit for this fun/gorgeous party decor as Alanna was the Sales Associate who worked with the event planner and all flowers were created and set up by Event Designer Holly. This Bar Mitzvah at Greenacres Country Club was all about the color blue! The shocking blue hydrangea highlighted the white gerbera daisies, roses and carnations. Half the tables were low styled designs in gold leaf wrapped cylinder vases which held the monogrammed table number. The kids tables each had a tall centerpiece that was create on top of huge cylinder vase filled with baseballs with a dome of blue and white flowers on top.  The floral designs had touches of silver foliage and silver brunia berries which really complimented the powder blue napkins. The overall view of the room was quite spectacular and it appears that a good time was had by all!  To see this event decor and others we have done be sure to check out our event website at www.mondaymorningballoon

Our Instagram Feed in October!

Image
We've been having so much fun posting on Instagram and sharing our world here at the flower shop. Alanna has been doing a wonderful job and it's fun to take a look back at some of our favorite and popular posts from October.  A few highlights from Jennifer and Darren's wedding at the Westin hotel. We loved all the purple! This months design class was a fun time had by all - making spooky martini floral centerpieces! This photo was part of the "Instagram Takeover" with Princeton Online . Feel free to link here to see more of our design classes that are coming up!  We love the autumn shades with lots of rich reds in the designs we created for Jennifer and Jim's wedding at the Nassau Inn.   October is a super busy month for balloon work like this balloon arch for the Leukemia and Lymphoma light the night walk in Morris Plains. This was a team of George and Alanna while Kevin built the same exact displays in Sewell and Long Branch. Now that

Petal It Forward

Image
Earlier this month our shop participated in a national floral movement that put fresh flowers into the hands of the public! To learn more, this below for the press release publish in our local media about the event!  On October 7th, we handed out hundreds of bouquets to residents to help brighten their week, as part of the 'Petal It Forward' program, in partnership with the Society of American Florists (SAF). 'Petal It Forward' is in response to the release of new data by SAF showing the positive emotional benefits of flowers.  University research shows that flowers have an immediate impact on happiness and a long-term positive effect on moods. Now, a new survey has found that when it comes to flowers it's just as good to give as it is to receive. With this data in mind the Monday Morning Flowers Petal It Forward team is not only spreading happiness to lucky Princeton residents who receive the flowers, but arming these residents with an extra floral bouque
