Thanksgiving Centerpiece Design Class

Image
Another successful class and with these gorgeous flowers, how could it not be.  The students began arriving and within a few minutes they were all friends, even if they had never met each other before. This class the students will be creating their very own Thanksgiving Floral Centerpiece.  The designing instruction begins with Alanna leading the class.   Martha tries to be serious while daughter Kathy goofs off behind. We did mention that we serve wine at these classes right?   The centerpieces are taking shape and all the students are working really hard.   This is Kathy's second class and she obviously had fun!  The ladies pose with their creations. They are all so proud!   Would you like to attend a future class ? We'd love to have you! Our classes are held at our store and production space in the Princeton Forrestal Village. Be sure to check out our facebook page or our website   for future classes.

Do you get confused when it comes to ordering flowers for your Holiday Table? Well, it's not hard and here my 5 quick tips for Ordering the Perfect Holiday Centerpiece . Answer these simple questions and it will all fall together for you and don't forget to let your local florist help you! What is the shape of the table you will be using for Thanksgiving Dinner? Is is round , oval or rectangular? The shape of the table will give your florist some idea of what shape the centerpiece should be. If you have more than one table, remember to order a centerpiece appropriate for each table.  How many people will be seated at the table for Thanksgiving Dinner? Sizing It Right To Fit Your Budget

Flowers + Size = Cost: Well, that is not really a true formula but with floral centerpieces it should be. Our customers are always surprised to find out that centerpieces placed high above the table cost more than low ones. It's really more about how many flowers it take and what is the correct proportion than it is anything else. Something that appears large directly down on a table will looks small and out of proportion if elevated on a grand pedestal or large vase. Whether you are planning a wedding , shower, or corporate event, the rule applies.  Take the centerpiece pictured below created just a few weekends ago. This piece included 10 premium sized  hydrangeas, 10 roses, 8 spray roses, 10 stock, 2 green hanging amaranthus along with lots of variegated pitta and ruscus foliage. In case you can't tell these centerpieces were quite and large and very dramatic. Keeping the flowers loose and airy helped us to make the most of the flowers use to create the size we want
